Most passport holders obtain a free visa upon arrival in the airport (no need to apply for one beforehand). However, it's recommended to check with the Lebanese embassy for confirmation.

It will be more cost-effective to book a taxi based on your location. If you're in Beirut, use a Beirut-based taxi service, and if you're in Chouf, book with a local Chouf taxi company.

How can I stay in touch while in Lebanon?
We recommend downloading WhatsApp as it is widely used in Lebanon for both local and international communication.
Most locations in Lebanon offer wifi, so if you're staying for a short period, you can rely on these networks to use WhatsApp for free. However, if you want more flexibility to communicate without being limited to wifi, you can purchase a local SIM card with phone credit to use throughout your stay, giving you access to phone services without needing a wifi connection.
Alternatively, you can opt for an international package from your telecom provider if you prefer.
Do people speak English in Lebanon?
While Arabic is the official language, most people in Lebanon also speak English. French is also common, so you will often hear people mix languages.
How will I pay for things in Lebanon?
For small purchases or taxis, paying with cash in US dollars is the most convenient option. For other expenses, foreign credit cards are widely accepted across Lebanon.
How will I get around in Lebanon?
For local travel, recommend the taxi companies listed in the transportation section. We don’t recommend renting a car and driving in Lebanon due to the often chaotic traffic conditions.
